Jon + Zoey
Working with clients like Jon and Zoey remind me of why I love my job so much! I first met Jon and Zoey in high school and have always admired them not only as a couple but as amazing individuals. It has been so fun to watch their journey of getting married and starting their life together via social media. Because of my admiration for them, you can understand my excitement when I received an Instagram message from Zoey a few months back saying that her and Jon were ready to start shopping for a home!
After nailing down exactly what Zoey and Jon were looking for, we set out on the hunt. Since we started searching back in March, we were quite literally searching for their first home during a full-on global pandemic! We donned lots of masks, gloves, and shoe booties as we house-hunted in their target neighborhoods. The pandemic did not bring with it a slow real estate market in Fresno and with the competition between multiple buyers being so fierce, we missed out on a few homes that we placed offers on because the prices were being bid up 10-20k above asking price!
Zoey sent me a text one day with a home that had been on the market for a little while and when we went to see it we were pleasantly surprised by how great the house was! The photos truly did not do this open-concept newly updated home justice. It had large picture windows, dreamy tall ceilings, and a large backyard perfect for Jon and Zoey’s 2 adorable pugs to run around in! We quickly made an offer and were in contract for less than list price in just a few days! Unheard of in this market! Wooohooo!
During the escrow process we hit a few bumps in the road, but Jon and Zoey remained cool, calm, and collected even as we faced multiple issues. It’s a long story for a short blog post but God definitely had His hand in making sure this home got to the owners He intended for it to go to— Jon & Zoey! It was a very happy day when I got to hand over keys to Zoey (Jon was busy at work serving our community as a police offer!) and watch her open up their new home for the first time.
